The Training and Learning Company is now able to offer catering work experience placements at J's Communicafe in West Howe, Bournemouth which we are managing on behalf of community volunteers from the area.
The Cafe offers home style cooking at very reasonable prices and a venue for informal meetings |
Social Entrepreneurs Network |

This project was developed in response to the demand by social entrepreneurs in the area who have been or will be setting up projects in their communities, many of whom have received an Award from Unltd.
The network is called Enterprising People in Communities. It has its own website www.epicbdp.net where further details can be found along with how to join. The network is open to anyone who considers them selves to be a social entrepreneur. |
Cooking Skills for Homeless People |

| Working in partnership with providers of hostel accommodation we deliver training for previously homeless individuals wishing to move on to independent living. |
TUTORS WANTEDWe are seeking to recruit sessional tutors to help deliver healthy eating and cooking skills courses to children and young people.If you feel you have an interest in food and cooking are a qualified and experienced tutor and are used to working with children and young people, then please send us your CV. |
Lunch Clubs for Older People |

In partnership with Bournemouth Council’s Adult Social Services and faith groups we are developing a holiday time back up service for lunch clubs where their volunteers need a break.
We will also be seeking to identify gaps in provision, where we will then support faith groups to develop new provision. |

Are you interested in joining our campaign to promote healthy eating?
We are looking for volunteers with an interest in healthy eating who would be prepared to deliver presentations to community groups. To do this entails undertaking a course in both cooking skills and presentation skills. Following recent interest in healthy eating there has been demand for community based courses in healthy eating.
The TLC tutor has already delivered several courses in the community and we are planning to deliver many more.
